Two Questions for the Presidential Debates

If I was given the chance to contribute two questions to the presidential debates, the first would be “What books are you reading right now?”

The second question would go something like this:

“Lyndon Johnson’s press secretary reportedly said that ‘No one should be allowed to work in the West Wing of the White House who has not suffered a major disappointment in life.’ The implication, as one scholar put it, is that no one can be trusted with so much power who isn’t ‘painfully aware of how badly things can go wrong.’ So, Mr. President, Governor Romney: can you describe a major disappointment you’ve experienced and how that will shape the way you lead?”
