They Were Children

I’m dumbstruck. But I’m also angry (in advance) that the people who will want to have conversations about common-sense gun control and the pervasive culture/rhetoric of violence, will be cut off by people who say the real conversation is one about mental health…and then we don’t have that conversation either. Let’s talk about all three things. Let’s talk about all this and more. Let’s have a time of mourning. Then let’s screw our courage to the sticking place and figure out how to make this kind of thing rare.

They were children.
